NDIS household tasks support in Brisbane

A home that runs smoothly makes everything else easier. EDS helps with household tasks in a way that keeps the young person in the driver's seat and builds skills where they want to.

What this looks like

  • Cleaning, laundry and keeping spaces tidy
  • Preparing meals and planning the week's food
  • Grocery shopping and putting it away
  • Setting up routines that make the household easier to manage
  • Doing tasks together first, then stepping back as confidence grows

How we do it

Some people want a task done for them. Others want to learn to do it themselves. We'll ask, and we'll respect the answer.

Where it helps, we pair household support with life skills sessions so the same time works toward independence.

Funding

Household tasks are commonly funded through Core Supports, though plans differ. Share your plan details and we'll help you work out whether it's a match.

Questions

Will you do the tasks for us, or teach us?

Either, or a mix. We'll agree with you what's most useful, and we can shift the balance over time.

Can this be combined with other supports?

Yes. Plenty of people combine household support with life skills development, community outings or transport.

Where do you provide this support?

We offer mobile support across Brisbane from our North Lakes base. If you're further out, ask and we'll let you know what's possible.

Let's talk.

Tell us about your young person and what they're into. We'll take it from there.
